International Airlines Group (IAG), parent company of British Airways, reported a 22.1% rise in operating profit to £3.64 billion in 2024, up from £2.9 billion in 2023. The increase is attributed to higher revenues per passenger and lower fuel costs. IAG's airlines carried 122 million passengers, a 5.6% rise from 2023, and the company is proposing a final dividend of £359 million to shareholders. British Airways saw its operating profit jump to £2 billion, a 53.8% increase from the previous year.
