Former AFL Telecommunications CEO sentenced to 4 years for $2.5M fraud to build beach house.

Joseph Edward Gallagher, a former CEO of AFL Telecommunications in Greenville, South Carolina, has been sentenced to four years in prison for wire fraud. Gallagher defrauded his company, owned by Fujikura, Inc., for $2.5 million to build a luxury beach house. He created false documents to make it appear that a construction company was a consultant for AFL, when in fact, the money was used for his personal home. Gallagher was also ordered to pay a $34,000 fine.
