Essex Highways introduces a new bacteria-based method to quickly clean up fuel spills on roads.

Essex Highways in the UK is pioneering a new, eco-friendly method to clean up road fuel spills using bacteria and enzymes, called the Fuel Spill Digester. This method, which breaks down fuel into water within minutes, can reopen roads within an hour, much faster than the three to six hours required by traditional methods using sand and absorbents. This initiative aims to make highways safer and more environmentally friendly.
