Australian Greens propose banning native forest logging, aiming to cut emissions and create green jobs.

The Greens in Australia are pushing for a nationwide ban on native forest logging if they help form a minority government after the upcoming Federal Election. Former leader Bob Brown launched the policy, which includes paying states $500 million annually for 20 years to end logging, supporting forest restoration and new green jobs. This move could reduce emissions by up to 8.5% of Australia's annual total. With 39% of voters undecided, a hung parliament remains a possibility.
