Pakistan reactivates its Competition Appellate Tribunal to address 170 pending antitrust cases.
Pakistan has reactivated its Competition Appellate Tribunal (CAT) by appointing Justice Sajjad Ali Shah as chairman and Dr Faiz Elahi Memon and Asim Akram as members.
The CAT handles appeals against decisions by the Competition Commission of Pakistan and is tasked with resolving 170 pending cases.
The tribunal had been inactive since June 2024, hindering the implementation of CCP orders in various industries.
Reactivating the CAT aims to expedite decisions on these cases.
