Belgian firm to install massive foundations for Scotland's new 1.1 GW offshore wind farm.
Belgian company Jan De Nul will install 72 large monopile foundations for the 1.1 GW Inch Cape offshore wind farm in Scotland, using its vessel Les Alizés.
The wind farm, developed by ESB and Red Rock Renewals, is set to generate enough energy to power half of Scottish homes and is scheduled to begin construction late this year.
Each monopile is up to 110 meters long and weighs up to 2,500 tonnes.
