Singapore liquidates S$3 billion in assets linked to a major money laundering scheme.
In Singapore, assets worth S$3 billion from a large money laundering case have been liquidated, including 54 properties, 33 vehicles, and 11 country club memberships.
Minister K. Shanmugam confirmed that around S$1.8 million has been deposited into the government's consolidated fund, with an additional S$390 million pending for the 2024 financial year.
The liquidated assets are part of S$2.79 billion worth of assets surrendered to the state, including S$1.54 billion in cash and financial assets.
