Delhi's airport closes Terminal 2 for renovations, redirecting passengers and upgrading runways.
Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport will temporarily close Terminal 2 for four to five months starting April for renovations, redirecting its 15 million passenger capacity to Terminal 1.
During this time, one runway will also be closed for upgrades, including an Instrument Landing System to improve low-visibility conditions.
To handle increased traffic, part of Terminal 3 will be converted for international flights, boosting capacity to 32 million passengers.
