Study shows Type 1 diabetes patients can achieve healthy blood sugar levels via telehealth, expanding access to care.
Researchers from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and Massachusetts General Hospital found that people with Type 1 diabetes can achieve healthy blood sugar levels using advanced insulin technology through primary care providers or telehealth, comparable to specialist in-person training.
The study, published in Clinical Diabetes, showed 97% of participants reached healthy levels, with 64% achieving even better targets.
This approach could expand access to advanced diabetes care for those in rural or remote areas.
