RBI allows partial withdrawals from New India Cooperative Bank after supervisory concerns.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has allowed depositors of New India Cooperative Bank to withdraw up to Rs 25,000 starting February 27, after initially imposing withdrawal restrictions due to supervisory concerns.
Over 50% of the bank's depositors can now withdraw their full balances, while others are limited to Rs 25,000 or their account balance, whichever is lower.
The RBI has also appointed a Committee of Advisors to assist the bank's administrator.
