Oscar Rodriguez is charged with murdering his mother with a sledgehammer in Burr Ridge, Illinois.

Oscar Rodriguez, 37, of Burr Ridge, Illinois, faces two counts of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated domestic battery after his mother, Virna Rodriguez, died following an alleged attack with a sledgehammer. Police found Virna unconscious with head injuries and she later died at the hospital. Rodriguez was denied pre-trial release and is set to appear in court on March 13. A sledgehammer with bloodstains was found near the scene.
