Maharashtra raises dearness allowance for 17 lakh employees by 12%, effective July 2024.

The Maharashtra government has increased the dearness allowance (DA) for its employees by 12%, from 443% to 455% of basic pay, effective July 1, 2024. This move will benefit around 17 lakh employees, with arrears paid in February 2025, covering the period from July 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025. The additional cost will be covered by existing budgetary provisions.
