India unveils a 422-meter hyperloop test track, aiming for ultra-fast city travel.
Indian Railways and IIT Madras have developed a 422-meter hyperloop test track, aiming to reduce travel time between cities like Delhi and Jaipur to under 30 minutes.
The project, funded by the Ministry of Railways, was unveiled by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who also announced plans for a 40-50 km commercial corridor.
The technology, involving pods in vacuum tubes, could travel at up to 1,100 km/h.
Additionally, Indian Railways and IIT Madras will collaborate on VTOL vehicle technology, funded by the railways.
