An Islamic Shariah court in Aceh, Indonesia, sentenced two men, aged 24 and 18, to public caning for gay sex.
They were arrested after vigilantes broke into their room and found them naked and hugging.
The court sentenced them to 85 and 80 lashes respectively, accepting the sentence without appeal.
Aceh, granted special Shariah law rights in 2006, expanded this law in 2015 to include non-Muslims, allowing up to 100 lashes for certain moral offenses.
This is the third such sentencing for homosexuality in Aceh.
