Jamaican jurist Winston Anderson appointed as new president of Caribbean Court of Justice.
Caribbean Community (CARICOM) leaders have appointed Jamaican jurist Justice Winston Anderson as the new president of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), succeeding Justice Adrian Saunders.
The CCJ, established in 2001, replaced the London-based Privy Council as the region's highest court.
Anderson, a CCJ judge since 2010 and author of several law publications, will lead the court based in Trinidad.
