Caribbean Community (CARICOM) leaders have appointed Jamaican jurist Justice Winston Anderson as the new president of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), succeeding Justice Adrian Saunders. The CCJ, established in 2001, replaced the London-based Privy Council as the region's highest court.
