Telstra, Australia's largest telecom company, misled nearly 9,000 Belong broadband customers by reducing their upload speeds without notification. The Federal Court found Telstra failed to inform customers that their maximum upload speed was halved from 40 Mbps to 20 Mbps. The ACCC, having previously penalized Telstra $15 million for similar issues, now seeks further penalties and consumer compensation.
