The Delhi High Court has invalidated the arrest of Thockchom Shyamjai Singh, who was accused by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) of being the army chief of the United National Liberation Front (UNLF). The court ruled that the NIA failed to provide written grounds for his arrest, as required by law. This procedural flaw led to the nullification of his arrest and all related remand orders.
