Shreveport woman arrested for leaving five children, including a baby, unattended at home for days.

Leanisha Broom, a Shreveport woman, was arrested after her five children, including a 5-month-old, were found unattended at home for several days. Broom had not been seen since February 13th, and her children were placed with a family member. She faces new child desertion charges, in addition to existing warrants from 2021 and 2023 for similar offenses. The Shreveport Police Department emphasized their commitment to child safety.
