Judge rules against mother and daughter in defamation case over luxury shoe authenticity dispute.

A mother and daughter lost their defamation case against Christian Louboutin and Brown Thomas after claiming a staff member embarrassed them by questioning the authenticity of their €675 shoes. Judge James O'Donohoe ruled that the staff member, Ciara Rogan, did not use defamatory language and was only following company policy to ensure the shoes hadn't been worn. The judge found the mother caused a scene and ordered the women to pay costs.
