The Alabama Senate has approved a bill, known as Parker's Law, which would exempt breastfeeding mothers from jury duty for up to two years.
Sponsored by Senator April Weaver, the bill aims to address issues faced by nursing mothers who were summoned for jury duty.
If passed by the House and signed by Governor Ivey, nursing mothers could self-certify their status and be exempted for 24 months.
