Solicitor challenges Irish government's pause on investor visa program, claiming it threatens his firm's existence.
A solicitor, Jonathan Cosgrove, claims his firm has been jeopardized by the Irish Department of Justice's decision to pause processing applications for the scrapped Immigrant Investor Programme (IIP), which allowed non-EU nationals to secure residency by investing in Irish projects.
Cosgrove states the decision has caused "serious and potentially existential" harm to his practice and is seeking relief in the High Court, including an order to quash the Department's decision.
The case has been adjourned to next month.
