Off-duty first responders including police, ambulance workers, military, and volunteers plunged into Cadboro Bay's frigid waters on February 16 in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Vancouver Island Polar Plunge, raising funds for Special Olympics BC. Despite cold rain, participants bonded under tents, sharing warm drinks and laughter before braving the chilly waters.
