Kerry Galusha, a 47-year-old curler and 18-time Canadian women's champion, is competing in her last Tournament of Hearts with her 15-year-old daughter Sydney, believed to be the youngest competitor ever in the event.
Galusha, who has played in 22 national championships over 27 years, plans to retire from competing but may move into coaching.
The mother-daughter duo will also represent the Northwest Territories in the upcoming under-20 championship.
