US trade body bans imports of certain power converter modules over patent infringement by Vicor.
The ITC has ruled that certain power converter modules and computing systems containing them, which infringe on Vicor Corporation's patents, should be barred from import into the US. This decision affects several companies, issuing exclusion and cease and desist orders, though a 60-day review period allows bonded imports. Vicor plans to seek monetary damages and appeal a finding that two Foxconn affiliates have patent licenses.
