The Indigenous All Stars beat Fremantle by 43 points in an AFL preseason match at Optus Stadium, scoring 16.12 (108) to Fremantle's 9.11 (65). Bobby Hill scored four goals, and Jy Simpkin won the Polly Farmer Medal as the best player. The game set a new attendance record with 37,865 spectators, more than doubling the previous record from 2003. The Indigenous team displayed impressive speed and ball movement.
