WestJet and Lufthansa Technik sign a $120M deal for a new engine repair station in Calgary.

WestJet and Lufthansa Technik have signed a multi-billion-dollar deal to build a new engine repair station at Calgary airport, servicing WestJet's Boeing 737 MAX fleet. The $120 million facility, set to open in 2027, will create up to 160 jobs by 2030 and is the largest contract in WestJet's history. Lufthansa will provide services including on-wing repairs and full performance restorations for Leap 1-B engines.
