Ohio Governor DeWine postpones three executions due to lethal injection drug shortages.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has postponed the executions of three death row inmates—Percy Hutton, Samuel Moreland, and Douglas Coley—citing difficulties in obtaining drugs for lethal injections. The new execution dates are set for June 21, July 19, and August 15, 2028, respectively. DeWine, who does not anticipate any executions during his term through 2026, has extended Ohio's unofficial death penalty moratorium.
