Convicted murderer Michael Steele, who killed three in Essex in 1995, is set for release under strict conditions.
Michael Steele, convicted in 1998 for the 1995 murders of Tony Tucker, Pat Tate, and Craig Rolfe in Essex, is set for release after the Parole Board determined his continued imprisonment is not necessary for public protection.
Now in his 80s, Steele will be subject to strict conditions including electronic tagging, a curfew, and living at a designated address.
His co-defendant, Jack Whomes, was released in 2021.
The case, which inspired a 2000 film, continues to face scrutiny with the Criminal Case Review Commission reviewing their convictions.
