BC SPCA rescues 25 cats and a matted Labradoodle from squalid, unheated home near Terrace, BC.

Twenty-five cats and a severely matted Labradoodle were rescued from a property near Terrace, BC, by the BC SPCA, following the owner's request for help. The home lacked power, heat, and running water, with temperatures reaching -22°C, and had strong odors of ammonia and feces. Many cats were underweight, and the dog's matting was described as the worst seen in 45 years. After care, the animals will be available for adoption.
