TE Connectivity buys Richards Manufacturing for $2.3B to expand in utility grid market.

TE Connectivity will acquire Richards Manufacturing, a utility grid products company, for $2.3 billion in cash. The deal, set to close by June 2025, aims to boost TE Connectivity’s presence in the electrical utilities market, driven by rising power demands, especially from data centers. The acquisition will add about $400 million to TE Connectivity’s annual sales and is expected to add 10 cents to its earnings per share.
