Shawn Burke, currently the police chief of South Burlington, will become the interim chief of the Burlington Police Department starting March 24, following his resignation from South Burlington on March 21. With over 31 years of experience, including 20 years in Burlington, Burke returns as the city prepares for a transition following Chief Jon Murad's departure in April. Deputy Chief Sean Briscoe will act as South Burlington's interim chief.
