The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is urging Formula 1 to halt discussions for a potential Grand Prix in Rwanda, citing ongoing conflict and accusing Rwanda of supporting M23 rebels in eastern DRC. DRC's Foreign Minister, Therese Kayikwamba Wagner, wrote to F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali expressing deep concern and questioning Rwanda’s suitability to host a race. Formula 1 stated it is closely monitoring the situation and will make decisions based on the full information and its values.
