Bangladesh sets up a National Consensus Commission to lead major reforms before next election.

Bangladesh has established a National Consensus Commission led by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus to oversee major reforms in the electoral system, public administration, judiciary, and anti-corruption efforts. The seven-member commission will engage with political parties to build national consensus on these reforms before the next election. The commission starts work on February 15 and has a six-month tenure.
