AirAsia X Berhad reported a 41% jump in passengers to over four million in 2024, attributing the growth to reactivated aircraft, operational improvements, and new routes. Passenger load factor rose to 83%, and seat capacity increased by 35% to 4.8 million. The airline added seven routes and operated 13,262 flights. Meanwhile, the broader AirAsia group saw an 11% rise in total passengers to 63 million, with a load factor of 89%, and added ten new aircraft to its fleet of 205 planes. The group also expanded its catering and fintech services.
