US, UK, and Australia sanction Russian web-hosting firm ZServers and ransomware group members for cybercrimes.

The US, UK, and Australia have imposed sanctions on a Russian web-hosting provider, ZServers, and several individuals linked to the LockBit ransomware group. ZServers provided infrastructure for cybercriminals, enabling ransomware attacks that have extorted over $120 million globally since 2019. This joint action aims to disrupt the criminal ecosystem behind ransomware attacks, targeting critical infrastructure and various sectors worldwide. Australia has also sanctioned five Russian individuals involved in the Medibank data breach, marking its first cyber sanctions against an entity.
