The remains found in Blount County, Alabama, in 2005 have been identified as those of Patrick Grayson Spann, a Mississippi inmate who escaped in 1998 and lived under the alias Chad Patrick Singleton. Spann's identity was confirmed through genetic genealogy testing by Moxxy Forensic Investigations, using DNA from his family. The investigation into his death remains ongoing.
