Indian cricketer Shubman Gill set a new record by becoming the fastest player to score 2,500 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs) in his 50th match against England, surpassing South African Hashim Amla's record. Gill scored a century in the match, bringing his ODI batting ranking to second place globally. He has also reached 5000 international runs in 131 innings across formats.
