UK broadband firm CityFibre reports first annual profit, plans big expansion; Liverpool gets major fibre investment.
CityFibre, a UK broadband company, reported its first annual profit in 2024 with a £5 million earnings, up from a £55 million loss in 2023. It now serves over 500,000 customers and plans to expand to more than 8 million premises by adding another 1 million this year. In Liverpool, Netomnia is investing £39 million to cover 190,000 premises with full fibre broadband, aiming for 3 million covered premises by 2025.
