TSMC faces Q1 revenue dip due to Taiwan earthquake damage, affecting $161M in chip production.
TSMC, the world's largest contract chipmaker, expects its first-quarter revenue to be near the lower end of its guidance due to a $161 million impact from a 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Taiwan in January. The quake damaged some semiconductor wafers, but did not cause structural damage to TSMC's facilities. The company maintains its full-year outlook and is working to recover lost production.
