Kansas wildlife nonprofits receive hunting permits to raise funds for conservation projects.
Seven Kansas conservation nonprofits have received Big Game Hunting Permits from the Kansas Wildlife and Parks Commission. These permits can be sold by the groups to raise funds for conservation projects, with 15% going to the organizations and 85% allocated for approved projects. Funds from past sales have supported improvements at wildlife areas and youth hunting programs. The awarded organizations plan to raffle or auction their permits.
