John V. Miller Jr. and Warren J. Grignon sentenced for assault and fentanyl smuggling, respectively, in Menominee Tribe cases.

John V. Miller Jr., a 43-year-old member of the Menominee Indian Tribe, was sentenced to 115 months in prison for severely assaulting his ex-wife, causing a significant facial injury. The court considered his history of violence and 20 prior convictions. Miller will also serve three years of supervised release. Meanwhile, Warren J. Grignon, an inmate at the Menominee Tribal Detention Center, pleaded guilty to smuggling fentanyl into the jail, resulting in one death and two overdoses, and faces up to 28 years in prison.
