Inquest begins into death of Royal Artillery Gunner Jaysley Beck, linking her demise to harassment.

An inquest into the death of 19-year-old Royal Artillery Gunner Jaysley Beck began on February 10, 2025. Beck was found dead at Larkhill Camp in December 2021. Her mother testified that Beck received thousands of "relentless" and "psychotic" messages from her line manager, Bombardier Ryan Mason, in the months before her death. An Army report stated that Mason's behavior was "almost certain" to have contributed to her death. Beck had previously reported sexual harassment and an assault by another sergeant. The inquest is ongoing.
