Florida nursing students lag in national licensure exam pass rates, though showing signs of improvement.

Florida's nursing students have the lowest pass rates on the national licensure exam among all U.S. states, despite recent improvements. In 2024, Florida RNs and PNs had pass rates of 84.9% and 80.78%, respectively, below the national average. Although the gap has narrowed, Florida continues to invest millions in nursing programs, with grants only available to those with at least a 75% passing rate.
