Coty cuts annual profit forecast after quarterly revenue falls due to lower U.S. cosmetics demand.

Cosmetics firm Coty cut its annual profit forecast after its quarterly revenue dropped to $1.67 billion, down from $1.73 billion, due to lower U.S. demand for cosmetics. Factors include stricter inventory controls by retailers, fewer sales at drugstores and department stores, and reduced customer spending on beauty products. Coty now predicts annual per-share profit of 50 to 52 cents, down from the previous forecast of 54 to 57 cents.
