Nigerian President Tinubu honored ex-governor Fayemi for his contributions to democracy.

President Bola Tinubu honored Dr. Kayode Fayemi's 60th birthday, praising his role in Nigeria's pro-democracy movement in the 1990s. Fayemi co-founded Radio Kudirat, a station opposing the Abacha regime, and later established the Centre for Democracy and Development. He served as Ekiti State Governor and played a key role in forming the All Progressives Congress in 2013. Tinubu commended Fayemi's dedication to democracy and public service.
