Lidl to boost UK wages by over 50p, giving entry-level staff a raise to nearly £13 hourly.

Lidl, a German-owned supermarket in the UK, is raising hourly wages for 28,000 workers in March, exceeding the new National Living Wage by over 50p. Entry-level employees will earn £12.75 per hour nationwide, rising to £14 in London. This near-£15 million investment also includes increases for workers on annual salaries. The move comes before the April National Living Wage increase to £12.21 for those aged 21 and over.
