Renowned Finnish designer Yrjö Kukkapuro, famous for his postmodern chairs, has died at 91. His most iconic creation, the Experiment chair designed in 1982, is celebrated for its comfort and unique style, featuring wavy armrests and an angled seat. The chair was initially avant-garde but became commercially successful and was recently reproduced by European brand Hem. Kukkapuro's designs are showcased in prestigious museums including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. His family home and studio, known for its wave-shaped roof and glass windows, is set to become a museum.
