At the Millrose Games in New York, US runners Grant Fisher and Yared Nuguse broke world indoor records. Fisher set a new 3,000m mark with a time of 7:22.91, beating Ethiopia's Lamecha Girma's previous record. Nuguse broke the mile record with a time of 3:46.63, surpassing Ethiopia's Yomif Kejelcha's record. Fisher outpaced Olympic champion Cole Hocker in the final lap, while Nuguse claimed the top spot on the indoor mile list.
