India's PMGDISHA scheme provided digital literacy to over 6.39 crore people from 2017 to 2024, teaching beneficiaries how to use mobile phones for tasks like sending messages and attaching files. The program, which concluded on March 31, 2024, aimed to boost smartphone usage and internet access in rural areas and trained many government workers. Uttar Pradesh had the most beneficiaries at 1.45 crore, followed by Bihar with 74.12 lakh.
