UMass pays student $10,000 after sponsor disqualified him from half-court shot contest.

The University of Massachusetts (UMass) will pay student Noah Lee $10,000 after he was initially disqualified from a half-court shot contest by the sponsor, Odds On Promotions, due to his foot placement. Despite the disqualification, UMass decided to reward Lee for his achievement and support of UMass athletics. The university also offered additional athletic benefits to Lee.
